Tia Renouf MD FCFP(EM) was Inaugural Chair of Memorial University of Newfoundland's discipline of emergency medicine. An associate professor of emergency medicine, has been involved in academic emergency medicine since helping to establish the CCFP(EM) residency program at Memorial University more than 10 years ago She serves as a College examiner for the specialty. Tia is a Medical Education Champion, representing Memorial University at CAEP (Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians). She co-leads the Tuckamore Simulation Research Collaborative. Tia has practised rural, remote and tertiary-care emergency medicine around the globe. Her research interests include simulation based medical education, clinical reasoning and skills retention/communication in rural and remote areas.
