About

Dr. Ahmad Barari is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Ontario Tech University, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Western University. Dr. Barari has been primarily involved in research and development in engineering design and advanced manufacturing technologies for over 25 years. He has a successful track of research that has attracted more than 40 sources of funds from the federal / provincial organizations and industrial sectors. Professor Barari has over 150 referred and indexed publications in highly ranked periodic journals and conference proceedings. He has been the chair and organizer of many national and international professional conferences and seminars in industrial, mechanical and manufacturing engineering research. He is currently a committee member of TC 5.1, Manufacturing Plan Control, for the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC). Dr. Barari is also a member of several committees and project groups at the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) including the ASME Model-Based Enterprise Standards Committee (MBE SC), and ASME Y14.46, Product Definition for Additive Manufacturing.
