Dr. Hasnain Afzal obtained his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences. He received his postgraduate training in Psychiatry from Nassau University Medical Center and Addiction Psychiatry from Icahn School of Medicine. He is double board certified by American board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Afzal currently works at a NYC Health & Hospitals. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Columbia University where he works with medical students and residents. Dr. Afzal believes in providing patient centered, empathetic and individualized care. Currently I am practicing as well as studying harm reduction techniques in individuals with substance use disorders
