Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, (Laboratory of Biomedical Technology and Digital Health), in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Ioannina (Human Computer Interaction Lab – HCILAB) and Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
I am an Informatics and Telecommunications Engineer by education and I received my PhD from the Department of Medical Physics, Medical School, University of Ioannina, Greece (2020). During my PhD I focused on the analysis of electroencephalographic (EEG) signals with machine learning methods acquired from clinical EEG recordings and data acquired from wearable devices for brain and cognitive disorders’ analysis. Since 2020, I have served as an Adjunct Lecturer in several departments for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Currently I’m an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and also in the Postgraduate Program “Digital Health and Health Management“
My research focuses on biosignal processing methods, machine learning algorithms, and Brain-Computer Interfaces for mental movements and brain disorders. I have participated in 6 national and international research projects and my published work includes more than 30 papers in scientific journals and conferences in the field of EEG analysis, for which I have received over 800 citations (source: Google Scholar).
