About
Yasutoshi Moteki has been a Professor of Public Administration at the Faculty of Policy Studies and School of Social Sciences, Nanzan University since April 1, 2023. Previously, he was an Associate Professor at Hiroshima University (October 2011 to March 2023) and the College of Healthcare Management (April 2008 to September 2011). His professional activities include serving as an Editorial Board member for Public Administration Quarterly and acting as a reviewer for several international medical journals, such as BMJ Public Health, Discover Public Health, BMC Health Services Research, Human Resources for Health, and Scientific Reports. He served on the Board of Directors of the Nippon Urban Management and Local Government Research Association from 2015–2018 and has rejoined the Board since September 2024.
He received his Bachelor of Law, Master of Law, and PhD degrees from Kyushu University. His research has primarily focused on public administration, policy evaluation, and health policy. His works include bibliometric analyses of healthcare and public administration trends in Japan, evaluations of public hospital performance, and studies of customer satisfaction with government services. His publications appear in academic journals, such as Cureus, Frontiers in Public Health, Public Organization Review, and SN Social Sciences.
