My name is Dr. Abhishek Kumar is an accomplished Clinical medical professional (Physical Therapist) with an extensive background and diverse experience spanning 18 years across three continents. Holding degrees in Doctor of Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation, Masters in Sports Injury (Rehab), Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and Bachelor of science(zoology), I have acquired extensive additional certifications in orthopedic medicine and various specialized courses. I am currently actively licensed to practice Physical Therapy in Florida and North Carolina, USA.

My professional journey includes working in musculoskeletal, geriatric, and pain clinics, home health, hospitals, acute care, and rehabilitation settings. I have honed these skills in various rehabilitation techniques, such as Maitland, joint mobilization, muscle energy technique, and soft tissue release, among others.

My dedication to research is evident through my extensive involvement in projects addressing lung disease caused by airborne heavy metals. I play a significant role in the Superfund Research Program at the University of Alabama, focusing on mechanisms of disease development and remediation.

As a Clinical Director and Board of Directors member in a non-profit organization, I am actively engaged in evaluating, planning, researching and supervising PTs and physical therapy assistants. I am committed to preventing PTSD and suicides among veterans, serving as a board member and consultant for health, safety, and rehabilitation initiatives in India.

With a passion for contributing to society, I actively volunteers in organizations like Oxfam, Special Olympics, and elder care facilities. I possess a diverse set of skills, including comprehensive balance assessment, musculoskeletal assessment, and biomechanical analysis.

My commitment to continuous learning is reflected in a plethora of specialty courses, certifications, and active membership in professional organizations worldwide. I have published several research papers and hold a patent for a "Personalized predictive fall detection and posture deviation".

Currently I am involved in ongoing research projects, my contributions include studies on gait improvement post-SI joint implant, pulmonary rehabilitation in interstitial lung disease patients, and the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on various health parameters in the general population.
