Dr. Adachi is a head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nagoya Tokushukai General Hospital and a senior specialist, Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, also General Clinical Oncologist for Dental Surgery by Japanese Board of Cancer Therapy. Dr. Adachi received his dentistry and doctorate degrees from Asahi University. He performed his residency at Department of Head and Neck Surgery, Aichi Cancer Center and clinical fellowship at Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Yokohama City University. He completed postdoctoral fellowship at Department of Head and Neck Surgery, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Adachi has received research awards from the Uehara Memorial Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research Abroad. Also, he received Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research from JSPS. He is an Oral and maxillofacial surgeon-scientist-innovator with an interest in new technology in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. His research interest and extensive experience with facial trauma, oral neoplasms, and orthognathic surgery.
