About

I received my undergraduate degree from NC State University, then my MD from Duke University School of Medicine and completed my pediatric residency at the Children's Medical Center at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. I am currently the Clinical Chair of Pediatrics at the Campbell University of Osteopathic Medicine. My passions include solving the healthcare disparities in rural areas for children, educational use of social media, breastfeeding, promoting vaccines, adolescent mental health, and foster and adoption care. I currently serve as the vice-chair of my county's Board of Health, on the local health system's foundation, the medical director of a children's home, and national faculty for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine for the NBOME to write board questions for COMLEX level 2. I am faculty advisor for many student interest groups and enjoy feeding and hosting students at my home on the family farm. I enjoy lecturing on all things pediatric.
