Dr Roberge, head of radiation oncology at CHUM since 2011, is trained in radiation oncology at McGill. He has subspeciality training at Stanford and the St-Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In addition to his clinical interests (Dr Roberge still co-leads a multidisciplinary cutaneous lymphoma clinic at McGill), Dr Roberge has a great interest for the technological advances in his speciality — in treatment delivery and patient imaging. He first brought stereotactic radiotherapy to Quebec, treating the first patient in 2007. A large team has since been built around the CHUM’s Cyberknife with hundreds of patients treated each year. Based on his more than 20 years of experience, Dr Roberge is the author of more than 140 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and editorials. He is an invited professor from the Middle East to South America. He supervises numerous student projects and is currently the principal investigator of a large international trial of cranial radiosurgery.
