About
As a medical student at the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM), I bring a diverse background in healthcare advocacy, research, and leadership. My passion lies in advancing reproductive endocrinology, LGBTQI+ and women’s health, and emergency medicine. These fields align with my commitment to fostering equitable healthcare and breaking down systemic barriers for underserved communities.
Transitioning from a multifaceted career that spanned the arts, healthcare volunteering, and research, I am now channeling my lifelong dedication to advocacy and science into becoming a physician. Highlights of my journey include:
-President, Medical School Pride Alliance Student Chapter, OCOM: Leading initiatives to support LGBTQI+ individuals in healthcare.
-Volunteer Research Assistant, Women’s College Hospital: Contributing to infection prevention through hand hygiene compliance studies.
-Crisis Line Counselor: Supporting individuals in crisis with empathy and evidence-based intervention.
My journey into medicine has been deeply personal, from advocating for infertility awareness to providing end-of-life care for my mother. These experiences shaped my understanding of patient autonomy, dignity, and the transformative power of compassionate healthcare.
I am excited to continue exploring opportunities to contribute to medicine through collaboration, research, and patient-centered care.
