Maya N. Dasgupta is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. She holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Science from Duke University, which she completed in May 2021, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/ Anthropology from FIU, graduating in May 2020. Maya has contributed to several significant publications, including studies on race differences in patient trust, qualitative analyses of trust within patient-clinician interactions, and research on patient and caregiver expression of reluctance during palliative care encounters.
