I studied biochemistry at the University of Bielefeld, Germany from 1999-2006 and obtained my PhD from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany in 2010. My doctoral thesis dealt with the behaviour of biomolecules (proteins and lipids) and synthetic polymers under high hydrostatic pressure conditions using infrared- and fluorescence-spectroscopy. Since 2010 I´m working in a medical laboratory with my key expertise in clinical chemistry, hematology, hemoglobinopathies, infectious disease detection (serology and PCR) as well as toxicologic substance analysis (IR, LC-MS/MS). I am also radiation protection expert.
