About
I am working as Assistant Professor Microbiology at University of Child Health Sciences,
Children’s Hospital, Lahore. I am highly motivated researcher in the field of microbiology and
molecular microbiology, and completed my Ph.D. from the Microbiology Department of the
prestigious University of Health Sciences, Lahore. I am also IFBA certified professional in Biorisk
management and Biosecurity. I have a vast experience of research in collaboration with renowned
organizations including WHO, Oxford University & Imperial college, London, UK and Leducq
Foundation ARC Acute Rheumatic fever diagnostic network in collaboration with Cincinnati
Children’s Hospital, USA as lab lead from CH &UCHS, Lahore. I have also supervised many
undergraduate research students and 2 postgraduate students including One MPhil and one PhD.
My area of special interest is infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and One Health
approach.
I have 24 publications including 6 in international journals with a total impact factor of 10.599 and
one poster presentation in Rheumatic heart diseases congress in annual conference of World
heart federation in Abu Dhabi on 1st

th November, 2023. also teaching Microbiology to the
undergraduate students of Allied Health Sciences. I am also a part of infection prevention and
control department of the hospital and has been involved in teaching of infection, prevention and
control practices in the hospital. I am also a co-author of two books on infection prevention and
control which are being taught in UCHS and University of Health Sciences, Lahore.
