2. Central Nervous System Effects
Patients may experience dizziness, headache, drowsiness, or, less commonly, seizures. The risk of seizures is higher at larger doses or when tramadol is taken with other medications that increase seizure risk.

3. Mood Changes
Some individuals may experience mood swings, including feelings of euphoria or, conversely, depression.

4. Dependency and Withdrawal
As an opioid analgesic, tramadol carries a risk of addiction, abuse, and dependence. Withdrawal symptoms can occur if the drug is abruptly stopped and may include anxiety, sweating, nausea, diarrhea, tremors, and hallucinations.
