Dr. Doug Lightstone received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, GA and is a National Board-Certified Doctor of Chiropractic who specializes in correction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the spine.
Dr. Doug Lightstone has been in private practice in North Georgia since 2014. He has completed post-graduate advanced training in spinal biomechanics and the evaluation and treatment of abnormal spinal posture, pediatric, geriatric, scoliosis, trauma, whiplash, traumatic brain injury, extremity care, functional movement, and sports health sciences.
Dr. Lightstone has earned advanced certification in Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®), a technique that delivers conservative, non-surgical spinal correction and rehabilitation. Dr. Lightstone has earned advanced certification from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego (SRISD) on whiplash, traumatic brain injury, and physical trauma diagnosis, treatment, and management procedures. Dr. Lightstone is also a certified ScoliBrace® and ScoliBalance® provider offering advanced, non-surgical, spinal corrective bracing and physical therapeutic options for all ages.
Dr. Lightstone has presented about chiropractic, spinal rehabilitation, diagnostic methods, his published research, and research efforts at various seminars and speaking engagements. He is the co-founder of the Institute for Spinal Health and Performance, a research institute, and the Journal of Spinal Health and Performance. Dr. Lightstone focuses patient care and research efforts on rehabilitation and maintenance of the spine to find and correct the link between abnormal spinal alignment and the onset of disease and dysfunction in the body.
Dr. Lightstone is a research fellow and serves on peer-review panels for research journals. His work on spinal biomechanics, physiology, and the health impacts of spinal rehabilitation is published in various peer-reviewed research journals, indexed in PubMed of the National Institute of Health, and collaborates in research endeavors with prestigious institutions such as Emory University.
