About
In January 2002, I earned a PhD in Epidemiology of Non-Infectious Diseases from the University of Cordoba (Spain), focusing on meta-analysis and Parkinson’s disease risk factors. During my studies, I gained international experience as a Research Fellow at Erasmus University Medical School (The Netherlands) and as a Research Assistant at Northern General Hospital (UK).
From 2007 to 2012, I led Epidemiology, Research, and Health Programs at the South Cordoba Health District, overseeing communicable disease surveillance, vaccination initiatives, and research coordination across 45 villages and multiple healthcare centers and hospitals.
Currently, I am a Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Cordoba. I have authored 175 publications (96 cited in PubMed) and am highly proficient in SPSS, with additional experience using EPI-INFO and STATA for meta-analyses.
