Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Ibraheem is a leading nuclear oncologist with a comprehensive experience in nuclear medicine/ PET-CT, Theranostics, thyroid cancer and cancer diagnosis. Dr. Al-Ibraheem's current position includes the Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Department at King Hussein Cancer Center, Amman, Jordan, and an associate professor in the School of Medicine, The University of Jordan.
Dr. Al-Ibraheem holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Aleppo. He trained in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Oncology at Jordanian Royal Medical Services and the Klinikum Rechts der Isar, Munich University of Technology, Germany, before returning to Jordan to pursue his clinical and research career. He is certified by the Jordanian, European, and Asian Boards of Nuclear Medicine, where he is currently a faculty member. Dr. Al-Ibraheem has authored more than 120 articles published in reputable, indexed peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Al-Ibraheem was a founding leader of the Arab Society of Nuclear Medicine and the Jordanian Society of Nuclear Medicine. He established a nuclear medicine oncology fellowship at KHCC that graduated many doctors from various Middle Eastern countries.
