About

After graduating with an MBBS securing the highest honours at the university level, I was felicitated as valedictorian and awarded the institutional Gold Medal. Subsequently, I completed my foundation equivalent training and became a recipient of the Shield of Excellence for outstanding academic achievement. I then received full General Medical Council (GMC) registration with a license to practice and simultaneously passed the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) Part A examination.

Currently, I am working in cardiothoracic surgery at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in London where I have received the prestigious People's Award for excellence in patient care across Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. I am pursuing an MSc in Medical Education at the Univeristy of Warwick, have passed the MRCS part-B exam for full Royal College membership and I am also a Guest-lecturer in cardiac care at Buckinghamshire New University.

I've had the opportunity to perform and assist in a multitude of surgical procedures during my foundation equivalent training and clinical roles, ranging from complex surgeries to routine and emergency cases - both open and minimal access - and worked effectively with cross-functional professionals in the OT with an aim to provide top-quality surgical care to patients throughout their hospital stay. I am highly research-oriented with publications in various reputable international journals focusing primarily on cardiothoracic surgery and improving clinical outcomes for patients.

Additionally, in 2020, I founded and mentored the first Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) program in Bangladesh to facilitate uninterrupted medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic and acted as the chief demonstrator for the KYAMCH clinical examination video series on Youtube (275,000+ views), providing medical students with round the clock open-access to top-quality educational content online. I am able to speak five languages fluently, an expertise that is uniquely beneficial to any hospital's needs at providing the best medical care to patients from across the globe.

I possess well-groomed interpersonal and communication skills that enable me to function as a team player and foster a cohesive environment at work while maintaining a cordial relationship with patients, staff members and peers.
