I am interested in the prevalence of subtle neurocognitive decline following carotid surgery and am working with a rat model that induces cerebral hypoperfusion to measure ischemic complications. I also look at the immune system correlates and how it relates to inflammation as well as its behavioral consequences. I have an array of outside hobbies as well. Youngest Participant and Finisher in the 2010 Gobi March, a 250k 6 stage Ultramarathon considered by TIME Magazine as the most difficult footrace on Earth. 2nd Place in the 19-22 Age Category for the 2009 Paavo Nurmi Marathon 1 of the 15 participants to finish the Great Wall Marathon in 2010, with 200 participants attempting Climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, 19340ft.
