Plamen Penchev has published 41 articles from which 26 are with IF, h-index = 4. He has presented and co-authoring at 45 congresses neurosurgical abstracts with oral presentations and posters and he has won awards for best oral and poster presentations. Most recently, he won best oral presentation award at the International Trauma Conference which was held in London, UK. He is a peer-reviewer of neurosurgery for the Open Access Macedonian Journal of Medical Sciences. He is an officer in the Walter Dandy Bulgaria Club and he is the president and co-founder of the Bulgarian Students' Club of Neuroscience "Neurologica".
