Working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Assam Medical College and Hospital, has been associated with teaching of undergraduate and post graduate students for last 16 years. Working predominantly in the field of Hemophilia, Sickle Cell Anemia and other hemoglobinopathies, has also done a lot of work on young diabetes and mushroom poisonings. Is also the Associate Editor of Assam Journal of Internal Medicine.
