About

I am Rehna K, a committed Psychologist with over 13 years of experience in mental health, reproductive health, and psychosocial support. My professional expertise spans clinical counselling, programme design, research, and academic mentoring, with a strong focus on infertility-related mental health, gender-based trauma, de-addiction therapy, and adolescent psychological wellbeing.

I have completed Ph.D. Psychology from Annamalai University, where my doctoral research, Effect of Counselling on Mental Health Among Infertile Couples, integrated psychosexual education, nutritional counselling, breathing exercises, CBT, DBT, and relaxation techniques to improve emotional wellbeing and relationship satisfaction. My research interests include sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), mental health in infertility, gender-based violence prevention, psychosocial interventions in chronic illness, and youth mental health promotion.

Over the years, I have worked in hospitals, clinics, universities, and public sector projects, contributing to suicide prevention programmes, reproductive health awareness campaigns, and evidence-based mental health interventions. I have designed and delivered psychoeducation programmes, group therapy sessions, and individual counselling across diverse populations.

In addition to practice, I am actively engaged in academic and scientific contributions—serving as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals, conducting workshops such as Psychodiagnostics at Calicut Law College, and contributing to global research dialogues in reproductive and mental health. My approach is rights-based, culturally sensitive, and patient-focused, aiming to empower individuals and communities while reducing stigma and barriers to care.
