Professor Basri Çakıroğlu graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. Following graduation, he worked as a general practitioner for three years before pursuing specialty training in urology. He completed his urology residency in 2002 and subsequently continued his career at the same institution as a urology specialist.

Between 2003 and 2005, he served at Giresun Şebinkarahisar State Hospital, where he worked as a urology specialist and also held the position of Chief Physician, taking an active role in the organization and coordination of clinical services. Since 2005, he has been working in the Department of Urology at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital. His clinical practice encompasses both pediatric and adult urology, providing comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of urological conditions with a patient-centered approach aligned with current clinical guidelines.

His academic and scientific interests focus particularly on uro-oncology and endourology. In addition, he has contributed to research and clinical practice across several subspecialty areas, including benign prostatic diseases, urolithiasis, minimally invasive urologic procedures, and urologic infections. He has participated in various research projects, delivered presentations at scientific meetings, and contributed to educational activities supporting professional development.

Professor Çakıroğlu is a member of the Turkish Urology Association. He also serves on the editorial boards of several journals and contributes to the scientific publishing process through editorial and peer-review activities. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 scientific articles in the field of urology.
