Dr. A. R. Vijayakumar has completed his bachelor and master degrees at C L Baid Metha college of Pharmacy, Chennai and conferred the PhD in 2013 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He was investigating the role of anti-tubercular drug induced retinal toxicity in goldfish and rodents under Prof T. Velpandian, Ocular Pharmacology & Pharmacy Lab for his PhD research. Presently, he is working as a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy, SBMCH, BIHER, Chennai. His research work mainly focuses on the how the drug induced color discrimination is and to understand the role of the neurotransmitter involved retinal toxicity.
