About
Dr. Jugal Kishore is a passionate community & preventive health practitioner and educator, born in a village in New Delhi in 1967. After completing his schooling, medical graduation, and postgraduation in Community Medicine, he developed the department of Community Medicine in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal and the Center for Occupational & Environmental Health at Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. He has worked in various institutions with remarkable capacities. He did his PhD in Psychiatry at the University of Delhi. He has been actively involved in the Social, Mental, and Environmental Health Movement in India. He is a prolific writer, researcher, and reporter for prestigious journals, magazines, and news dailies. He has authored more than 500 scientific papers and more than 40 books on public health, national programs, social reform, and rationality. He is an editor to many professional Journals and chair of many prestigious boards and task force in government agencies. He is known for the development of public health education in the country. Many awards and recognitions are bestowed upon him such as โDr. S Radhakrishnan Memorial Teacher Awardโ, Lifetime Achievement Award for promotion of AYUSH 2020, Hakeem Ajma Khan International Award 2021, and The University of Queensland Brisbane Australia awarded for special contribution to Sub-Project 7: Strengthening the National Capital Cenrte for Occupational & Environmental Health, Delhi, 1999-2001. Due to his scientific advancement, he has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS), India, International Medical Science Academy (IMSA), Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM), Indian Public Health Association, and many other organizations have honored him with fellowships. He has organized more than 100 conferences, workshops, symposiums, and guest lectures. He has delivered more than 380 guest lectures, panels invited speeches, and delivered more than 60 sessions online and more than 25 interviews on radio and TV. He has been an examiner for many exams at many universities. His mission is to liberate humans through education and the development of public health.
