I am an American physician in practice since 2003. My areas of interest include asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic cough, COPD, emphysema, sleep disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, ILD, ARDS, Respiratory Failure, Ventilator Management, Improving outcomes in the ICU, health informatics, technology in healthcare and COVID ICU management. I have held affiliations to these universities at several points of my careers. My interest are to teach pulmonary and Critical Care, cardiopulmonary physiology and bronchoscopy, techniques bedside ultrasound guided procedures. Served at at the University of California Davis, Tulane University school of Medicine, pulmonary and critical care department and Critical Care Medicine and hospital medicine at University of Texas Medical Branch Medicine Department at different academic ranks. I lecture and teach pulmonary and critical care medicine at our ICU and hold and academic affiliation as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Indiana University School of Medicine. I have an interest in continuing medical education. Teaching at bedside and forming new physicians to the next generation. I have been a speaker for Boehringer Ingelheim, American Lung Association, AWAKE among others. I am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. I am a member of The American College of Healthcare Executives. Member at the Harris County Medical Society, and Officer at the Hispanic American Medical Association of Houston. He has been awarded a lifetime member by Beta Gamma Sigma, The International Business Honor Society, This Honorary membership award was earned at The University of Texas System during graduate studies in Healthcare Management. He holds several awards for community services and teaching contributions in medical education.
Attended College and Medical School at Loma Linda University School of Arts and Science in Riverside, CA, with a bachelorโs in science in Biochemistry and Microbiology and graduate of the Honors Program. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991. He also attended Loma Linda University, School of Medicine, where he received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1995. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine in 1998 and Post-Doctoral Fellow in n Pulmonary Sleep and Critical Care in 2001 and Allergy and Immunology in 2003. Dr. Chang completed an MBA with Specialization in Healthcare Management at The University of Texas System 2019.
Dr. Chang began practicing medicine in California in 2003 and subsequently moved to Texas where he has been practicing Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine in The Woodlands, Texas since 2008. Currently work as an intensivist, Pulmonologist in Several COVID ICUS in America.
