About
I am Cardiology and acute medicine trainee, currently based at Bart's Heart Centre, London, UK. I am an Editorial board member of the Journal of Case Reports in Medicine. I also work as PLAB examiner for General Medical Council, UK. In addition, I also work as Honorary lecturer with University of South Wales and I currently tutor students on MSc Preventative Cardiology diploma. In addition, I work as an instructor for advanced life support courses for Resus council, UK and IMPACT courses. My other roles include approval and managing editorial roles with Cureus journal.
I have completed MBBS from Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad. I completed MRCP (UK) in 2017 and MSc Cardiology from University of South Wales in 2018. Previously, I completed MSc Epidemiology and Biostatistics from LMU, Munich (Germany) in 2011. I completed Diploma in Medical Education in 2020 and MSc Medical and Health Education in 2023 from the University of Hertfordshire.
I completed PGCertificate in advanced life support courses from University of Keele and diploma in leadership in healthcare from University of South Wales, United Kingdom.
I have published several articles including case reports, systematic review and meta analysis as first author and co-author. I have completed Master degrees in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from LMU, Germany and Preventative Cardiology from University of South Wales.
I have been honored with several prizes and awards including Excellence Performance Award ( EPA) from Islamic Development Bank in 2005-06; CHAAD scholarship in Germany in 2010 and a student bursary by Health Education England in 2019 for PG certificate in Medical education.
I remained Royal College Associate tutor for 3 consecutive years from 2017- 2020 and remained BMJ Clinical champion group for 6 months. I also worked as British Junior cardiology association mentor for 6 months and mentored junior doctors.
Finally, I am a fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators (AOME), UK and fellow of the UK higher education academy (Advance HE).
