Dr. Chetty received both a Masters of Science and a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of California at Los Angeles. After earning his M.S. degree Dr. Chetty began working part-time as a Clinical Medical Physicist in Radiation Therapy at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank California. Upon completing his Ph.D., in December 1999, he joined the University of Michigan, Department of Radiation Oncology, where he spent 6 years on the faculty as Assistant Professor. In May, 2006, he accepted the position of Associate Professor and Associate Director of Radiation Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. In November 2007, he joined the Henry Ford Health System as Director of the Radiation Physics Division in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Chetty has been a part of several IRB-approved clinical studies both at the University of Michigan and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Chetty is an NIH/NCI-funded researcher and has also received research grants from the University of Michigan Cancer Center.
