About
As a publisher of multiple peer-reviewed research projects, Dr. Smith most recently published “Accessibility and Gamification”, for which she received a Quality Research Award from USDLA. While serving as a Director at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), Dr. Keyonda Smith conducted a quantitative study titled, “The Relationship between Institutional Culture and Faculty Perceptions of Online Learning in Chiropractic Higher Education”. Additionally, Dr. Smith presented an exploratory study for presentation at the Research Symposium titled, “The Relationship between Acupuncture Students Performance Outcomes and Perceptions of Online Course Equivalency”. Her original research was peer-reviewed, accepted, and presented at the Association for Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) 2016 E-Learn Conference. Moreover, Dr. Smith participates on the Advisory Board with Maryland Distance Learning Association, Board of Directors with Healthcare Associates of America, as an elected Board Member with National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, an annual Conference Peer Reviewer for the National Wellness Institute, the American Public Health Association, and the Society for Public Health Education. Dr. Smith is also an active member of several industry associations including the Society for Participatory Medicine, International Association of Accessibility Professionals, and she was appointed by the Vice Provost as Digital Learning’s Advocate for Evidence-Based Research Literacy.
