I am a 31 year nurse. I have established myself within the geriatric field, psychiatric field and home heath case management. I have not been published, however, I pride myself on being a patient advocate. Pre-covid I witnessed many inconsistencies along with lack of effort and concern for the patient provided by some of the medical community. I like to think of myself as a person that 'busts down walls," and provides education along with research and effort to be certain patients in my charge receive care they deserve. I have had some physicians become angry and slam phones on me, but if I know what is right in my heart, I am definitely up for the fight. My patient with wounds I frequently requested Vitamin C and Zinc along with a protein enhanced and adequate hydration status. I may not have an extreme amount of initials following my name, but I am Italian and do not stand for 'pat' answers at the cost of my patients quality of life.
