I am Dr. Adesh Kumar Agrawal, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar. I also serve as the Assistant Nodal Officer at the Addiction Treatment Facility and the Chief Nodal Officer of the Multidisciplinary Geriatric Care Clinic at AIIMS Deoghar.

I completed my MD in Psychiatry from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, in 2019, under the guidance of Prof. Mathew Varghese. My MD thesis focused on differences in interhemispheric inhibition between the healthy aging brain and individuals with dementia. I went on to pursue a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at NIMHANS in 2020, where my research centered on advancements and safety profiles of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) in elderly patients. I also completed two additional years of senior residency at NIMHANS.

My areas of interest include:
