Dr. Aurora C. Schmidt is a senior algorithms developer in Research and Exploratory Development at JHU Applied Physics Laboratory. She has a background in verification and validation of intelligent systems, signal processing and estimation in distributed sensor networks, and data analysis techniques for the explanation of social phenomena and the spread of opinions. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013, and also has M.Eng. and S.B. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
