Dr. Badyal contributed significantly to new competency based UG medical curriculum in India as Member of Reconciliation Board of Medical Council of India. He was awarded MHPE (Masters degree with merit in Health Profession Education) by Keele Univ., UK; FAIMER Fellowship by FAIMER, Philadelphia, Visiting fellowship By Rector clinical skills & simulation centre, Jefferson Univ., Philadelphia. “Scholarship” by German Academic Exchange Service; “Prof. G. Achari Oration” for eminent pharmacologist by Indian Pharmacological Society; “Rajiv Gandhi Gold Medal Award” by GEPRA; International fellowship in Medical Education by FAIMER and ML Gupta award by Association of Physiologists & Pharmacologists of India.
His area of interest includes faculty training for online teaching learning & assessment, development of low resource intensive simulations in South East Asia and competency-based curriculum. He has taken sessions for many institutes and universities for online teaching. He is Senior Editor, Indian Journal of Pharmacology. He is Faculty in International and National Medical education programs and published >100 papers, written research modules for Open univ, UK and authored 2 books & contributed chapters in other.
