Timothy C. Clapper, PhD is the Director of Education at Weill Cornell Medicine NewYork-Presbyterian Simulation Center and Associate Professor of Teaching in Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College. As an educator-researcher, he has reached across disciplines to develop and implement simulation-based instruction that has improved the performance of individuals, teams, and entire organizations. Dr. Clapper is known for his worldwide implementation of TeamSTEPPS® and his Saturation in Training model that is used to achieve the largest effects in patient safety by training the greatest number of people in the shortest period. Dr. Clapper’s record of publication reflects his research and passion for learning theories and the brain-based learning simulation framework, including understanding how learners can inquire, gather, process, and apply what they are learning
