About
I am an MD, PhD student (non-MSTP) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine pursuing my graduate degree in the neurosciences under the tutelage of neurosurgeon Dr Emad Eskandar. I study the neurocircuitry of reward motivated behavior in awake nonhuman primates. Upon completion of my graduate training, I will be applying to neurosurgery residency programs. My basic science focus is on how dopaminergic circuits within the striatum and its projections influence reward seeking and risk evaluation. My clinical interests are surgical therapy for epilepsy and chronic pain/spasms caused by neurovascular conflicts involving cranial nerves.
