currently working as Professor and Head of department, Dr. D. Y Patil Medical College, Pune. Teaching experience of more than 30 yrs. Examiner and approved teacher in different Universities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates (Diploma and Degree, Ph.D.), undergone trainings to update his knowledge – ICH-GCP Training by WHO, ICMR course in Genetic counselling, NACO course for HIV Counselling, is a trainer for HIV, IMNCI, F-IMNCI, Malnutrition, Facility based new born care. He worked as Principal Investigator for > 45 Clinical Trials for Vaccine, Drugs, He is DSMB Chairperson for > 5 Vaccine Trials, contributed immensely in the field of Polio research , He was awarded trainee fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology, IAP. He had started first Human Milk Bank in Private Medical College. He has a flair for organization work, was president of - Indian Medical Associations, Indian Academy of Pediatrics. instrumental in Health Check up of 1,20,000 School Children and treatment of Over 5000 malnourished Children in Pune and PCMC area, and Stone Quarry area.
