About
I am a Cardiac Anesthesiologist and intensivist. In fact I was the head of Cardiothoracic anesthesia and CT ICU for 8 years; from 2012 to 2020 June. My special interests are invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventricular assist devices, ECMO and TEE. I am a member of College of Anesthetists of Ireland (MCAI) since february 2017. My recent research works are in rhabdomyolysis following cardiac surgery, mixed venous oxygen saturation changes following cardiac surgery, monitoring during ECMO etc. I am the site director of cardiothoracic anesthesia rotations in the ACGMEI accredited anesthesiology residency program at Hamad Medical Corporation. I was an assistant professor at the prestigious Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences(AIMS), Kochi until 2003. I am a honorary teaching faculty at the Weill Cornell College of Medicine, Qatar and Qatar University College of Medicine. Since 2006, I am a certified instructor of European Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support. My biggest passion other than my clinical work is teaching.
