I am Salman Muhammad Soomar, currently working as a Research Specialist at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi Pakistan. By profession I am a public health person, trainer, motivational speaker, academic and research professional. I did my bachelor’s in microbiology and have postgraduate degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Aga Khan University and received a professional training on Sexual and reproductive health from World Health Organization (WHO HRP). My areas of interest and expertise are in infectious diseases particularly HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Also, I am a field research expert in paediatric oncology research, sexual and reproductive health rights, and food & nutrition. My aim is to aware public regarding behaviour changes and improving quality of health and life. I am associated with American Society for Microbiology in planning the short term and long-term goals for the prevention of Antimicrobial resistance and I am a member of International Youth Alliance for family planning (IYAFP) in which my role is to promote family planning methods in rural areas of Pakistan. I also have certification in motivating youth regarding drug abuse from Drug Free Pakistan Foundation (DFPF). Above all I am an artist, my notion of creativity reflects from power of handling the nib of pencil and to convert the empty paper into fruitful drawing. I do not only deal with youth but all age groups and help them develop their skills and works for development of their quality of life.
