About

I am an aspiring Orthopaedic trainee with an interest in research relating to management of acute trauma and improvement of outcomes for Orthopaedic patients. I have contributed to a number of large, multi-centre, national and international, studies within Trauma and Orthopaedics. I am first-author of retrospective, observational, cohort study - looking at the effects of the first peak of the coronavirus pandemic on patients presenting with Acute Proximal Femoral Fracture, which I hope to publish in Cureus.
I have a combined total of 12-months clinical experience working at ST-1 equivalent level in Trauma and Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery. Here I was able to develop my clinical acumen and surgical skills, which are well evidenced by my log book of surgical cases. I am experienced with the peri-operative management of the paediatric patient from my time spent working within Plastics Surgery at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
Progressing towards my goal of securing a training number in Orthopaedic-themed Core Surgical Training, I will be working as a Clinical Fellow within Homerton University Hospital, London's, Trauma and Orthopaedic Department - with protected theatre and clinic time this offers excellent opportunity for professional development.
