Currently Professor in Pathology and Head of department of Clinical Hematology at Dr RMLIMS, Lucknow, India. I have been involved in establishing Pathology department for this tertiary health care center which was upgraded to ‘State Referral Center for Lab Investigations’ by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2012. Department of Pathology offers MBBS (150 seats), Post Graduate and PDCC courses. My area of interest is Hematopathology and have established Hematology Laboratory services which offer Bone marrow aspiration, Biopsy & Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, Coagulation testing (including Inhibitor testing and thrombophilia testing), Myeloma work-up etc. in addition to routine hematology tests. I completed MBBS in 2001 and MD Pathology in 2006. Thereafter 3 years of Senior Residency in Lab Hematology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. I have publications in national and international peer reviewed journals. My research areas are: Hemophilia, Factor V Leiden mutation analysis, DNA Ploidy by Flow cytometry in Liquid based Cytology in Cervical Cancer, FNA-Flow cytomtery in Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Flow cytometric immunophenotyping of neoplastic plasma cells, Circulating tumor cell detection in Gall Bladder Cancer, Flow cytometry of Malignant serous effusions.
