Sheraz Ali is a doctoral researcher at the University of Tasmania, Australia. He read Pharmacy (PharmD) at Baqai Medical University, Public health (MPH) at the University of Eastern Finland, and is currently pursuing PhD at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Sheraz has substantive research interests in clinical trials and medication safety. He has published 1 book chapter and over 20 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals such as British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Therapeutic Advances in Drug Safety, International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy, and Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal. He has served as a clinical research professional in medical affairs of a pharmaceutical company and the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia as Head of Scientific Unit and Staff Development. He also served as a board member of the Institutional Ethics Committee at King Saud Medical City, Saudi Arabia. He served as a reviewer of well-reputed peer-reviewed journals (Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Expert Opinion on Drug Safety, World Journal of Pediatrics, International Journal of Environmental and Public Health, International Journal of Pharmacy Practice, and Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal). Sheraz received Employee of the Month award twice in 2017 and 2019 from King Saud Medical City, and was also awarded a fully funded Graduate Research Scholaship for pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Tasmania, Australia, to address drug-related harms in older Australians.
