I was born in Tirane, Albania, in 1969. I studied general medicine during the period 1988-1993. After I specialized in allergology and clinical immunology (till 1998), I worked in allergy research group (Dept. of Pediatric Pneumology and Immunology) at Charite - Campus Virchow Klinikum, Berlin - Germany, from 2000 to 2003. I am currently working in the Mother Theresa School of Medicine, Dept. of Allergy & Clinical Immunology; I teach Human Histology and Allergy at the Faculty of Medicine-Technical Sciences and Faculty of General Medicine - which are parts of the Medicine University of Tirane, Albania.
I received the scientific title "Doctor medicinae" in Charite - University Medicine (2011) and Albania. I was issued the academic title "Associate Professor" from the University of Tirane in 2012. I am currently enrolled in editorial/reviewer board members in different journals of Allergy and Immunology. I was a board member of the Interest Group of Insect Venom Hypersensitivity for the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (2011-17) and actually of the Working Group of Infections and Allergy (2017-2019 and 2019-21).
