About
Professor David Eisenstat is a Paediatrician, Haematologist-Oncologist, Neuro-Oncologist and clinician-scientist. His laboratory is interested in the interface between brain development and paediatric brain tumours. He relocated to the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), Melbourne as the Director, Children's Cancer Centre and as Group Leader, Neuro-Oncology, Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI). Both the RCH and the MCRI are affiliated with the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne, Australia. Previously, David was Chair, Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta from 2017-2020 and the Co-director of the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) from 2014-2017. He completed clinical and research fellowships at The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto, Canada), UCSF and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, USA).
