I am a medical doctor, clinically trained scientist with over 40 years of experience, publisher of more than 80 scientific papers, several addressing unmet medical needs. Current interests are: (i) infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) superinfection treatment of hepatitis B and C virus infected patients; (ii) oncolytic Newcastle Disease virus (NDV) therapy of advanced cancer; (iii) exploitation of autoimmune T-cells induced by an off-label low-dose immune checkpoint blockade for the treatment of advanced cancer; (iv) IBDV superinfection therapy to mitigate symptoms of early COVID-19 patients. Formerly, I was the Head of Immunology at the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology. I spent longer periods abroad, at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, Christie Hospital in Manchester, UK and the National Cancer Institute (NCI/NIH) in the USA. Currently, I am the Chief Scientific Officer of HepC Inc, Pret Therapeutics Ltd, and Lodoco Clinical Ltd. I am consultant at the Department of Probability, Alfred Renyi Institute of Mathematics.
