Dr.Jayakrishnan is working as a Senior Consultant in the Respiratory Unit, Department of Medicine, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, OMAN. He was working as an Associate Professor, Department of Pulmonology in PSG Institute of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore, India and later as a Consultant in Ministry of Health, Kuwait before joining SQU .He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians. He is trained in all aspects of Pulmonology. He has around 49 publications in different aspects of Respiratory Medicine including Asthma, Tuberculosis, Interstitial Lung Diseases, Sarcoidosis, Pulmonary Function Tests and Bronchoscopy. He has been involved in the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates in Medicine for more than 30 years. He has given a lot of lectures in different scientific assemblies and in social groups. He is an Associate Editor of SQU Medical Journal. He is an active member in different medical societies like Indian Chest Society, American College of Chest Physicians, Royal College of Physicians, European Respiratory Society, Indian Association of Bronchology, Indian Association of Occupational Health, Indian Association of Allergy and Immunology and Association of Physicians of India. Presently he is the General Secretary of Oman Respiratory Society.
