I graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center, completed a surgical internship at a private hospital in Iowa, and then completed residency and a trauma anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center. My research and publications have been around trauma, coagulation, quality, and preoperative medicine. I have since cross-trained for liver transplants.
