Research:
Research activities have focused on maternity care - with particular interest in the impact of a greater use of "non-indicated" (but risk-based) labor induction, during the term period of gestation, on rates of basic childbirth outcomes. Research projects have included case series studies, retrospective cohort studies, ecological cohort studies, and one randomized clinical trial. Research has been presented nationally (poster and oral presentations at Family Medicine and Maternal Fetal Medicine conferences) and internationally. Several research awards, including "most highly cited paper" from the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2018.
