Dr Fayza Haider is the First and up-to-date the Only Female Consultant Pediatric Surgeon in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She is the Recipient of Order of National Action Award 2018 from the King of Kingdom of Bahrain on Kingdom of Bahrain National day 16th December 2018.
She works in the largest tertiary care and teaching hospital in the Kingdom. She trained at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa, Ontario- Canada where she completed her Pediatric General Surgery Clinical Fellowship. Dr Haider is Board Certified in General Surgery from the Arab Board of Health Specialization. She holds a Membership of the Royal College of surgeons of Ireland.
Arabian Gulf University, College of Medicine and Medical Sciences is her undergraduate university where she obtained her Medical Doctor degree and Bachelor of Basic Medical Sciences.
She has published articles in Pediatric Surgery and her field of interest is Pediatric Gastrointestinal Surgery, Pediatric Thoracovascular Surgery and Pediatric Surgical Oncology.
Dr Haider is a Clinical Tutor at her undergraduate university and a training coordinator of the Department. She is well known for her educational activities organization and CPD accreditation. She is the editor of the Annual report of department of surgery at her institute.

Research Interest:
Gastro Intestinal Congenital anomalies, Hirschsprung’s Disease, and Vascular Access problems in Oncology.
