: After graduating from the Harvard-MIT Health Science and Technology Medical School Program (Concentration Neurosciences; Soma Weiss Award), I pursued general surgery and plastic surgery at Stanford and was Chief Resident. I had two fellowships, one on pediatric, aesthetic, and craniofacial surgery for a year and a post graduate year Hand and Microsurgery after attending in a burn unit. Currently I am the elected Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center and in private practice. I am Chairman of the Ethics Committee of San Mateo County Medical Association. For the PSEF I am on the Hand/Peripheral Nerve EducationalCommittee, and on the ASPS Instructional Committee for the Annual Educational Meeting. My research has been in Plasticity of Somatosensory Cortex, and have two teaching tapes selected for the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation library on techniques for Hemifacial Microsomia and on Congenital Breast Asymmetry. Past awards include the Joseph H. Boyes Award from the American Society of Surgery of the Hand, and the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation First Place Award. I have been devoted to studies of Anatomy as well with a having completed a Fellowship in Anatomy. Plastic Surgery is really applied anatomy for the improvement of the human form and function for the individual patient's needs. I continue to participate with the Stanford University Medical Center Residents in Plastic Surgery and to mentor with the First Gen Medical students. I am the Chairman of the Biomedical Ethics Committee of the San Mateo County Medical Association.
