About

I have a keen interest in Descriptive and Morphometric anatomy, Clinical anatomy and Molecular Biology and Medical Education. I have utilized various research techniques in molecular biology like immunohistochemistry and western blotting to probe questions. I have also been trained in techniques like electron microscopy and stereology for cell morphometry estimations. My endeavor has been to fuse the use of these methodologies to clinical applications in the field of oncology and developmental anatomy. I also enjoy working on clinical implication of anatomical variations and bony morphometry. Based on these works I have been recipient of Pyare Lal Sharma Bishan Devi Gold Medal for best thesis in Pre-& Para Clinical subjects for the year 2004 for my work on morphometry of Stapes and its relationship to vital structures in the middle ear. I was also awarded Dr Mahdi Hasan Gold Medal for best paper presented in Clinical Anatomy in 52nd National Conference of ASI held at Hyderabad in December 2004 and Dr Lisa Chacko Memorial Award for best paper in Neuroanatomy in November 2015 at 63rd NATCON ASI at Lucknow.
My zest for teaching has also led me to be involved in research to make teaching- learning more innovative. I have presented papers at various national and international conferences, has actively participated as a resource person as well as organized a number of national and international conferences. I have peer-reviewed for international and national journals.
